[Introduction of the creator]
Tsuboya pottery pottery pottery kiln
The pottery kiln was built by Mr. Masakazu Soma after training at Tsuboya Yaki Ikutoen. In 1978, the kiln was moved to Yomitan Village Zakimi and continues to this day.
We continue to preserve Tsuboya ware's tradition by hand-crafting many glazes including Okinawa's representative glaze "Silgusui" on soil made by blending Okinawan soil.
Among them, I continue to make new works with the slogan of "always new things" such as red paintings, dyeing, fish prints, and itchin, which are peculiar to pottery kilns.
In addition, I am working hard to make a wide variety of Yachimun, such as making a jar for Awamori (old sake), Shisa and Ryukyu Nanban (Arayaki).
Product images and products delivered are not exactly the same.
All the containers are handmade, so the size, shape, color, pattern, and texture may differ from one to another.
Individual differences such as penetration (cracks like a pattern on the surface), pinholes (small holes), iron powder (oxidized to black spots when iron is burned), uneven glaze, etc. Please refrain from purchasing if you can not capture it.
