[Introduction of the creator]
Usuki Yaki is a mysterious pottery that was started 200 years ago as a kiln for the Usuki clan in the late Edo period, and once stopped.
The USUKIYAKI Research Institute is continuing efforts to make a modern version of Usuki ware based on the few remaining materials in order to revive Usuki ware again.
Based on the idea that "vessels are the frame of food," the natural shapes and natural ingredients found in this place are made from the rich seas and mountains of Usuki, organic produce, and from ancient times. Beautifully complement and convey the traditional food culture that is backed by flourishing miso, soy sauce, liquor and other brewed products. The aim is to add color to the dining table.
